How to measure a door opening with trim

Measure the width of the door from trim to trim.
Measure the height of the doorway from trim to floor.
Measure wall space from edge of door until furthest point on both sides of door.
  1. Measure the width of the doorway from the outside edge of the trim to the outside edge of the trim.
  2. Measure the height of the door from the floor to the top of the trim.
  3. Measure wall space from the edge of the trim until the furthest point on both sides of the door.
